We have a horse race, ladies and gentlemen. The first four bids this afternoon were launched by robertmenard's lofty cool million point bid followed shortly thereafter with cowboy's 24,800 point bid increment, and lindas649's 100 point increment to 1,025,000.

Fast forward to this evening with less than 30 minutes to go and it's a whole new race. jonathanhood (descendant of robin) upped the bid by an even 5,000 points, only to have donna42, cordeliam25, and then donna42 again, each cautiously increment the bid by the minimum 100 points.

thumper1 who lost out with his Tuesday bid of 1,731,100 points picked up the same prize today for 1,236,258 points, saving a cool half million points in the process.
