Do you wish you could enjoy some major Bluesfest acts but haven't volunteered or do not have the cash?
There is hope! Between the main gate and the museum is a free area. Every night, more and more peeps are congregating there and enjoying a FREE concert. You might think that you can't see anything or that the sound is muffled. Nope. I can tell you that tonight (well, last night), I would have had a much more enjoyable concert experience listening to Santana and Stevie Winwood outside the grounds rather than inside the grounds where I was (i.e., almost directly across from the choice positions outside the gate).
Tonight, Crowded House is playing and they are one of the few groups I would actually pay to see. Neil Finn is a great singer/songwriter (remember his other group with brother Tim, Split Enz?). Come down and catch his show for free (if you can!).
On equal par (to me), Matthew Good is also playing tonight. This guy has produced some of the most amazing rock music in Canadian history! You will hear him quite well from the free zone but not see him. However, there may be another free spot that you could see him from (check the grounds out beforehand).
